Very sorry to hear of the passing of Alice. I met her in the early 80’s when I was married to Tom Snellings and he worked at The Free Lance Star. She was truly one the nicest/sweetest people I’ve EVER met in my life. She always had a smile and made time to speak/talk whenever you saw her. She was a very beautiful woman as well, and kept herself so lovely. You just don’t come across truly selfless, sweet people like that very often, and especially, in this day and time, unfortunately. I met Alice when I started working at the Free Lance Star in advertising. Her and I hit it off when we met. We went to Myrtle Beach SC on vacation, had a wonderful time. I am so sad to read she has passed, she was a great friend and I will miss her.

I am so sad at the loss of sweet Alice. She was a dear friend to my parents and to me for the past 50 or so years. Lisa and I have always joked that we could write a book about our mothers and the laughs they had — “The Adventires of Alice and Ivy.” I so wish there was another chapter to be written, but the memories will live on.
