I’m so sorry to hear about Pat’s passing, he’ll be missed, but left me with some good memories. Pat wanted to go hunting/fishing for his 1st time. So mysel and dad took him out. We were waiting on him to leave and he walks out with a bright, bright pair of hunting coveralls on, a beanie with a hat over top, backpack, his gun and a 5 gal bucket full of firewood. He couldn’t hardly walk. We laughed and told him he didn’t need all that, especially when he was sitting with my dad. We never let him down on that. Fishing was a thrill too.. He always wanted to learn new things. RIP Pat and thanks for our memories 🙏

I first met Pat at Mickem Pickems, when I worked there. Pat came in as a customer and left as a friend. Regardless of where we came in contact with each other it always started a conversation, and ended with a hug and smile. Pat was a super nice person with an all around personality to match. He will be missed by so many. My sympathy to his entire family.

Rip Pat…. I never will forget the first time I met you. You were working at Dutchs Mart and I would come in after school for snacks. We would always strike up a conversation about anything and everything. You were around for so many of my crazy life events. From heart surgery, to the birth of my twins to my marriage and divorce. It was always a pleasure running into you. You loved the people in this community and was always caring to everyone. You will be missed by many

Pat and I have been friends for years. He was always so kind, thoughtful and generous toward people, always had a smile on his face and always wanted to talk. He was always helping me with things and was always there for me when I needed a friend. He will be greatly missed by all. I am heartbroken and miss him very much. RIP Pat. Until we meet again.

I was so sorry to hear about Pat’s passing. He was a wonderful person. I first met Pat when I started working for the county and he would come into my office to chat. He always had a smile and a hug. After he retired he would still come by and see me. I will miss him. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Pat first when he was working at Dutch’s Mart off of 206. He told me he was working 3 jobs at the time. I was amazed at how much energy he had to keep that up. He said it wasn’t really a job because he loved talking to people. He knew my father and just sparked a conversation asking how my dad was. Over the years id see him on and off. Hed always ask how I was doing. Tell me about conversations he has with other people. While I was always happy to see Pat, I knew if I saw him the conversation would last a while. I often felt bad because I sometimes was in a rush and couldn’t talk as long as I’d like. He always understood, saying okay I’ll see ya later busy dad. Last I saw him I was in passing coming out of food lion. I regretted not being able to talk longer as he always has a story to tell. He always was doing something for someone else. Always cheerful. Days I felt down and heavy seeing Pat immediately would just put a smile on my face because he was just jolly. Few people like him that are just caring and unconditionally care about others. Pat, can’t wait to see you again on the other side friend.
