To me, David was always a larger than life person, with a great and kind, generous heart. Everyone who knows him could fill a book with stories about him! Perhaps we should start one and pass it around, I am sure it would be a best-seller! His passing leaves an enormous hole in our community. My deepest condolences to his family, and especially his beautiful wife and cherished daughter who he loved more than anything on Earth.

My condolences to David’s family. I will always remember his smile and willingness to help others. I learned a lot just by watching him run his dozer and excavator. He was always there to answer questions on what I should or should not be doing on a particular job of my own. He was the best machine operator I have ever seen, not to mention doing the best job he was capable of. He was always ready to help the VDOF when it came to fighting fires and was one of the best at firefighting with his dozer or VDOF’s dozer. I will miss David, along with many other folks!! Tim R.
