Dear Margaret, Keith, Walt, Dale, Joy, Mark, and Chris; Lauren, Glenn, and Drew: Nothing could have shocked Jeb and I more than hearing the news of Anne’s passing. We are so truly sorry for your loss. Jeff, we’ve never met, but please accept our most sincere sympathy. Leroy, our dear old friend, how he must have rejoiced having his beloved daughter join him in God’s kingdom of heaven! Anne is the spitting image of her Daddy, and I always told her so. Oh, how he always spoke with such pride and love of his girls! Leroy introduced me to Jeb (now my husband of 44 years) and when he did so, he couldn’t have known that his daughter Anne would also become a wonderful friend. I had never been to the 7th District before and Anne, with a mischievous grin and a blunt “matter of fact” outlook that I appreciated and couldn’t resist, welcomed me to the area that would become my new home! Our friendship grew and we were even next-door neighbors for a few years when Lauren and Glenn were small, and when my first child was born. Anne and I shared many good times at softball games and tournaments with Annette, her sister-in-law who also became my friend. Laughter was plentiful as Anne had a snarky sense of humor, long before snarky humor was a thing! But along with that humor was a kind, loving soul, who only knew one way to do things-the right way! Anne and I shared a love of making our homes a special place for our children. We enjoyed bouncing ideas off each other when discussing any and all things related to being a Mom. Anne created the most beautiful First Holy Communion veils for both of my girls. She could take my idea and bring it to life effortlessly. As talented as Anne was, being Mom was always her number one career choice. Lauren, Glenn, and Drew of course you know this, looking back on your childhood, you were your mom’s universe. She was so proud of all of you. Anne and I hadn’t seen much of each other in the past 20 years, but I always had the fond memories of those early days when we were young stay at home moms doing the best we could. I am grateful for the friendship we shared. With fond regards and deepest sympathy, Donna (and Jeb) Morris
