I had Mrs. Mitchell for several classes and she was always so sweet and kind. She would always remember me as we saw her in the passing around the county. She’s one you don’t forget. She taught me so much. May she rest in peace with her husband. So sorry for your loss.

I am sending sincere sorrow from my family to yours. I was unable to attend the services for your father and I am unfortunately unable to attend your mother’s services. I started a new job, and I now commute and do not have time accrued. If it were not for your mother working with my mother, and your father being related, my parents would never have met. I owe them a debt that can never be repaid. I loved growing up with Stan and all of the mischief and craziness we got into that Aubrey and Brenda likely never knew about. Please know I know what you all are going through. I send love and strength to you all during this difficult time. If there is anything I can do to help the family, please let me know. Elizabeth

My condolence to the family. Mrs. Mitchell and I taught together at KGHS in the late 80’s. She was such a sweet and kind hearted person who always helped me as a new teacher. Praying for peace and sweet memories for the family.

Dear ones, There are so many things you must be feeling right now. I trust that what you feel most is remembered, loved, and held close in many hearts…. because you are. Long ago, my daddy taught me that if we share the happy memories of our loved ones with others, they will never truly leave us. I have tested that over the 80+ years of my life and found it to be true. I am sure that, like me, you have many happy memories of your mom/grandma/friend. Share them. Laugh, cry and remember. It will keep her close to you. Brenda had a way of cocking her head and looking at you that made you know you better do as you should. I am confident you have seen that look and that you will continue to live your life in the way that will make her proud. I am sure she would share Matthew 5:16 with you. The verse comes with love from me.

I am sending my deepest sympathy to both of the MItchell boys. Mrs. Mitchell was my home EC teacher at King George High School. I remember her patience, kindness, caring and her dedication to each of us as she taught us to cook, draw to scale, sew and so many other things that all of us carried with us even today. She was a very special lady and educator. She will be greeatly missed. Donna Rose Loan

Stan and Steven, I knew your mother in the early years of her teaching at King George high school. We were friends, in the same social group together. I remember when Stan was born how happy your mom and dad were. I ended up moving from King George County and we lost touch over the years. We did reconnect on Facebook a few years ago ago. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful woman and very talented and many ways. She was always so gracious and fun to be around. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Anita Churchill
