My deepest sympathies on the death of your son, Elijah. My baby boy Kevin, at 3 1/2 years old died in 1998. My heart breaks for you and I know the ups and downs you are feeling and will be feeling. There are no words to comfort us in the loss of a child. I am also The Compassionate Friends Fredericksburg Chapter Leader which is a self-help support group for all bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who have lost a child. When you are ready, please email me and I will get you some resources. I am here for you if you need me. Praying for you all.

I knew Elijah briefly in 2023 as a fellow student at Roanoke College, found a few old photos, figured I’d share, hopefully his family checks here. (1/2)

Casey, Carolina and Quinn, I feel like if was just yesterday Caroline and Elijah were trying to outwit each other for the plastic Diego cage and run away with the elephant stuffie at the War College playdate club. I have so many wonderful memories of Elijah and your family that I hold him and you all so dear and close to my heart. I can just see our kids jumping on your couch singing Jessie’s Girl and the whole gang taking turns to convince Rich to be the tickle monster. It was such a beautiful time, and I am so happy that my family got to share Elijah for that brief period of time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I miss and love you all! Becky

I send my condolences to the entire family of Mr. Elijah Plew. I pray for strength to the family during this difficult time. Although I was not fortunate enough to meet with Mr. Elijah, I know that he was a great kid. His father, Casey Plew, would light up whenever talking about his precious son. With love, Cody West
