Mama…I love you and I will miss you forever…your time was too short and it happened so fast. Life will never again be the same.

Rita was such a beautiful person, both inside and out. My first contact with her was when, as a newbie to the sport, I was trying to get registered for my very first Great Dane National. Even as the show chair, Rita took the time to explain the reservation and entry system, and helped me to complete the process. I am sure she had much more important show tasks that she needed to attend to, but she took the time to help me. That it just a small glimpse into her caring nature. Rita really was a special lady, and she will be sorely missed. I am sending prayers for her family and friends during this difficult time.

A life well lived with love and passion for all of her favorite things. So many memories of many years gone by in the community of Great Dane fanciers. We all had the very best of times. Well Done Rita!

Rita has done so much for the Dane community during her life – from her magazine to being Show Chair for several Great Dane Nationals and being a GDCA Charitable Trust Trustee for the last few years. She has given back over and over again. She was a good friend and will be missed by all of us more than words can say.

Rita, my heart is hurting since I heard that you had passed away! My very first friend when we moved to Maryland. Sleep softly dear friend. I’m going to miss our conversations about ‘dawgs’! And I’ll miss your sweet face. Say HI to The Rocket Dog for me when you get to the Rainbow Bridge. RIP Carole
