With deepest sympathy, I share these words inspired by the words of the poet, Sharon Valleau: Imagine that the brilliant stars of a clear crisp night are windows looking out from beyond our earth-bound reality. At the very moment you are wishing on those stars, hoping that Kathy is safe and free…she is looking back from the other side, making the same wish for you–sending you all her love. May the painful void in your hearts soon be filled and comforted by a lifetime of warm memories and the feeling that you’ll always be connected to her love. Blessed be.

Kathy & I started working for the Town of Colonial Beach around the same time; we were the newbies together. Kathy was dedicated and always willing to lend a hand. She always took care of everyone else before herself. She loved her family most of all. She will be missed.

I am so sorry and actually shocked to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was truly a wonderful person, doing anything and everything for everybody. She was devoted to her family and her friends and she will surely be missed by many. Prayers for her family

My former coworker at the Journal, Kathy was the calm in sometimes stormy newsroom. When she left to go work for Colonial Beach she left a void in our office. Always wearing a smile. I miss her still. Rest In Peace.
