Those of us that had the experience of knowing George Bowie on a personal level are truly blessed. His knowledge of so many topics made him such a great mentor and teacher to so many of us along the way. I cherish the memories of working, hunting, laughing, eating with, and going for those special rides around the farm just to talk. I traveled with George a few years to RFK stadium for his markets and saw the respect the people there had for him. Georges contributions as Fire Chief of Oak Grove Fire House were too many to list. You will be sorely missed George Bowie. May you rest in peace my good friend.
