Rodney was a good friend to many. I met him in high school in 1973 and he was my best man in my wedding in 1976. As young men we had many adventures. I remember he had a 32 coupe, his uncle had a 60s vet, and I had a 68 SS camero and we were on top of the world. With life’s busyness we did not remain close but those memories remain vivid today. He will be missed by many.

Sincere condolences to all Rodney’s family. I’ve known him his entire life. The first I remember of him was before Melissa and Robert were born. I remember going to a WMU meeting at his mom’s house, and he was there, in and out of the house. I always enjoyed seeing him almost anywhere in the county and talking to him about whatever. He was wonderfully comfortable to be around, down to earth, no nonsense, and a realist. He was an institution in the area. I pray his wife, son, mom, sister, and grandchildren find peace after watching him go through so much for so long. God rest your soul, Rodney. You are already missed.

Rodney will never be forgotten. He was always ready to step in and help someone, no matter what time it was. He was truly a friend, when they made him they threw away the mold. There will never be anyone like him, he will live in our memories forever. So long big guy, catch a big one, and save me a seat on the boat up there to. Jack
