One of the fondest memories we had as children was going to visit our uncle Don, Aunt Bella and our cousins in Stafford, Virginia. The family had a large home on a hill with a pool and many trees, whose leaves Don raked religiously each year. In addition to having fun swimming in the pool and playing with our cousins, one of the stand out events at the Paradis home was enjoying Don’s rightfully famous lasagna. To some of us it was known as “goulash”. However, it was the best lasagna (or goulash) anyone ever ate in Virginia. We miss those days and would like to extend our sincerest condolences to Aunt Bella and the extended Paradis family regarding the passing of Don. His good humour and wit will be missed. Nancy and I send our heartfelt condolences to Bella and all the Paradis family. I had the privilege of working with Don after he transferred to Washington,DC until he retired many years later.Don loved life , his family, and his work with the Federal and Federal-State Inspection Services. My guess is Don is checking on the produce in Heaven making sure it is meeting God’s specifications Ron Wood
