Chris was my first TFL at FEMA and he taught me so much. Luckily, he became a friend and we kept in touch. I especially enjoyed how he kept track of Kerrie V. and me when I went to visit her for her birthday. There was no lack of communication as he texted Kerrie when I departed the airport, landed in Panama City and when I was in the parking lot of the hotel. He was great fun and I will miss him!

It’s tough to lose a friend, but it’s even tougher to lose one of your best friends and that’s what you have been to Alison and me. We’ve enjoyed our 20-plus year annual beach visits with the entire Goforth clan. This year will be different, but we’ll continue the tradition. We’ll make you proud. Our sincerest condolences to Pam, Joyce, Kristina, Peyton, Mason, and John. Godspeed Chris!

Chris’ Family, We are so very sorry to hear this sad news. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We both had worked with Chris at VDOT, Fredericksburg Residency. He was always so nice and willing to help his fellow co-workers. Chris will always be remembered for his smile and being such a good friend. May God Bless Each of You.

Pam, Kristina and family, Joyce and John, It is with a heavy heart I offer you my condolences. I have only good memories of Chris. His friendly, low key personality and kind heart never seemed to change from from childhood on. One memory that stands out was his devotion to Caroline Little League as an umpire. I saw a lot of Chris during Justin’s Little League years! May God bless each of you until you meet again. I am so sorry… Lynn Jordan

Chris was a great inspiration, friend, and considerate man. His thoughtfulness and guidance will be missed. I am very honored and grateful to have worked with him. Be it only a few months, he has left a lasting and affectionate impression in my life let alone all the lives he has touched. My heart and sorrow go out to his family, friends, and all us that have been blessed with his caring touch. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss you…

Thank you, Pam & family, for sharing Chris with us. He was always the one to volunteer, lend a hand, and make sure everybody else was doing alright. His presence on any deployment meant that it was going to be a great deployment. Once we all departed, Chris was the glue to keep us together. He will be missed by his “FEMA Family.” No one else can compare. Our hearts are with you.
