I first.met Gaye back in the 90s when I.worked at Dahlgren. I got to know her pretty quick because Gaye was the kind of person who never met a stranger. She was bigger than life in a small package. She was funny and wore a smile everywhere she went. She was a real person who accepted everyone for who they were. Even though it has been well over 20 years since I last saw her, I never forgot her. She was an impressive person in many wonderful ways. She seemed to smile her way through life. I honestly can still hear her laugh. I am so sad to learn of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are for her family and friends at this time. Even though I’ve heard it many times before, this world is a better place for Gaye having been here. And in true fashion she unselfishley left behind many smiles for all of us to wear and give away everyday. ??

Gaye truly had a cup that overflowed… Psalm 23:6, her smile made others smile, her laugh made others laugh, where she was her husband or a sister were. She was just a people person and there were no strangers to her. I was blessed every time I saw her, always greeted with a smile and a hug. I know there will be a void for her family, especially her husband, you could feel the love they shared. I am praying for each of you that the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6

Although she was not any kin to me…my mother and her were great friends and we called her “Aunt Gaye.” She always had a smile on her face and live in her heart for all of us kids growing up. Even as an adult when I ran into her, she hugged me right and we chatted about life. I know she is going tremendously and my prayers are with her husband and family. RIP Aunt Gaye

Bug and Family, please know that my condolences, love, prayers and support goes out to each of you! I know that this is a difficult time and I encourage each you to continue to stand on God’s promises and know that He will provide you with all that you may need as you go through this season. I will continue to pray for your comfort and strength and will keep you lifted up in prayer. Gaye had a spirit that would light up the room and her beam of light and love would capture all that she came in contact with. I feel truly blessed that our lives connected and I will always cherish the time that we were able to share and how her auto display of agape love touched my spirit. Gaye’s display of love, concern and compassion for others shall forever dwell within my heart and our spiritual connection will continue to live on. Fly high my friend!

To Timothy “Bug” Johnson and Gaye’s Family: At a time such as this it always seems difficult to find the right words to say. Many quote scripture, many send prayers, make phone calls, text, stop by with food and fellowship to bring comfort. One thing I know for sure is that this family knows JESUS is the comforter by the life they live and demonstrate. Much love to you all as you continue your journey in the Lord. We all LOVED Gaye so much because she was an example of LOVE.
