I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She and I have been friends for many years, and she was absolutely great. So helpful and kind in so many ways; she was a true friend. And we always had so much fun on our play dates. Mary loved you all very much; this last year especially, you were the center of her world. She often shared stories about her kids, and grandkids and great-grandkids. Mary was truly one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I miss her so much.

My heart goes out to all of you in the Thomson family that I taught and kept up with through your mother, usually while shopping at Food Lion long after she left Potomac. She was a special friend of mine and I was so sorry to see in the paper that she had left us. I know she is now happy with your dad and that helps with the loss. Peggy Brown, (once your Mrs. Brown in third grade)

Dear Mary Kay and family, Please accept our deepest sympathy. Your mom and dad were so wonderful and loving. We thoroughly enjoyed our many Bud and Sally trips with them and working on base with both of them. May God comfort all of you. Cindy and Luke

Tad, Mary Kay, Bonnie, Robert, Kerry (and families), We were saddened to learn today of your mother’s passing, please accept our condolences. Mary was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have known her and have many fond memories of her. She showed me much kindness, especially during a very difficult time. I was so fortunate to have known her growing up, and of having the opportunity to see and talk with her occasionally on the base when she was working for Tititlek. I will always remember with affection her voice when she called me “Jaybird”. With deepest sympathies, Jay & Dinah Jenkins
