Sending my love and prayers for peace and comfort for y’all. I have many fond memories of Uncle Gene from my summers up the country at Mama’s and PaPa’s. I loved riding my bike over to talk to him and certainly remember reunions where he was manning the ice cream freezers.

Amber always talked about Pop pop. Then I finally met him at Courtney’s party. I ended up stealing a hug from him! Then Kaceton was born and he got to meet Pop Pop! What a joy! I didn’t realize until later that my mama knew him too. From when she worked at the store (600) years ago. She spoke very highly of him. I’m so sorry for the loss of this sweet wonderful man! He is always going to be with you and watching over you. Pop Pop touched a lot of lives and he will definitely be missed. fly high pop pop!
