Denise, I am truly sorry to here about Larry’s passing. I considered him one of my closest friends. He was a true joy to be around and was always entertaining. He not only had a great personality but was one of the kindest and most caring people I ever met. Folks at Greenspring would echo these same sentiments. He also had many talents – I remember admiring the renovation work he did in your house and his patience to to disassemble various products to see how they worked. He also had a flare for writing poetry that he shared with his co-workers at Greenspring. Additionally, he was a man of principles and he stuck by his beliefs. This put him at odds with some of his supervisors, however he persevered and in the end gained their respect and understanding. Susie and I often talk about our luncheon date in Fairfax and how much we enjoyed it. We had hoped that we could have continued our relationship. I think it was shortly before he went in for his back surgery and prior to my hip replacement. It was after his surgery that our communications broke off. In a time when there seems to be no compassion or care for one another Larry was a shining example of a true humanitarian. Susie and I send you our condolences and love – Don
