My Aunt Wanemah was a very special person who kept her “Oklahoma country ways”. She asked my parents if I could come up to D.C. when I was 14 so my first plane ride was to D.C. and I got to spend a few weeks with her and my cousins (I was 14). When I was about 7 or 8, she came to visit us in OK and got so upset when she saw that my mom had cut my long blonde hair into a pixie. Silly memories I guess but good ones for me. Love you Wanemah!
