To Sharon and the entire family, I was so sorry to hear the news of Phil’s passing! When I arrived in King George County, Phil was one of the first people to greet me and we became fast friends. I always appreciated Phil’s deprecating humor and candid assessment of most situations. In a world of “political correctness” his lack of filter was a breath of fresh air! You always knew where you stood with Phil and know how proud he was to be a United States Marine! To this day I remember our lunches at King’s Pizza fondly! Phil, I will miss you my friend but its never goodbye as a Christian its see you soon! Linwood Thomas

On behalf of King George County, Department of Fire, Rescue, & Emergency Services we are deeply sadden of the loss of Phil. Phil was instrumental in our Company 1 Headquarters station project in which we worked very close with him during that time and on many other county projects over the years. He will be missed but not forgotten. We thank him for all he has done for our KG Community over the past 31 years! Rest in Peace my friend. David W. Moody County Fire & Rescue Chief
