Savannah, I am sorry for your loss. Eric was so instrumental in my formative years in the Marine Corps. We were in the same company in boot camp, we attended Marine Combat Training and Personnel Administration School together, and worked in the same office at our first duty station in Hawaii. We spent so much time together you would have thought we were joined at the hip. He was standing right there with me when I got married… and when I got in trouble from time-to-time. He was there with me when I got promoted, and there for me when I got demoted… he helped me refocus and earn my rank back. We shared laughs, tears, successes, and failures. I cannot recall ever having a fight between us. Our career path kept us on separate sides of the country, but we stayed in touch throughout the years. The last time we spent time together was back in 2013 and I hate I was unable to get to see him before he passed. I know I’m not the only person Eric has had a positive impact on. He will be sorely missed. Semper Fidelis Marine! I love you, brother. B.
