Joan Lynn was the smiling face at the checkout when picking up groceries after a long day at work. Always happy to see you and offer helpful tips or share community concerns. I would often choose the longer line just to be sure I got to talk with Joan. Maybe she didn’t win big awards or receive recognition in the paper, but she made a difference in the lives of all of us going through the daily grind. Rest in peace, dear lady.
Visitation & Funeral Service Information
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, June 27 at Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, June 28 at Maranatha Baptist Bible Church. Burial will follow at Historyland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life (www.donate.cancer.org)
