Gary was a good man! I remember going to Moore’s supermarket as a child and getting candy from Chappy. I would also play Pac-Man every time my father and I went to Moore’s. These are some of my fondest childhood memories, and I can’t leave out the movie store and Talking to Barbra Carter. Rest easy, Gary.

Mr.Moore was a large part of the Chilesburg Community for many, many years and he was well liked by the neighborhood. He was an important part of our “little Burg” because he brought affordable and much needed grocery service to Caroline County, Spotsylvania and Hanover among others. He offered everything one needed from fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen food items, wonderful Richfood Brand products and freshly cut meat. He gave excellent service to his customers and he went above and beyond to meet the needs of his regular clients. And he sold the much loved VA Country Ham that we needed for the Holidays. He also employed some good folks like Meat-cutter Al Baker and Clerk Hilda Beasley who could ring up your purchase with her eyes closed. He was a kind soul who looked out for others and he will be missed. Condolences to his family. Peace, Leigh

Condolences to the family. Gary was a large part of our lives. Our Mom (Bea) worked for the Moore’s for over 30 years. He was always fair to the employees and the public. We are sure many in the community have memories of the snack bar, meeting and hanging out there. That corner became a part of our lives. We still call the store Moore’s Market. Gary brought a lot to the community and will never be forgotten. We can all look forward to seeing him in the resurrection promised in John 11:25. Our thoughts are with your family.

Heartfelt Condolences to the Moore family. Praying God will give you peace and heal broken hearts. Mr Moore was a great man in Caroline County whom physical presence will be truly missed. Wherever you saw him there was his wife by his side. Very loving and always had a smile. Rest In Heavenly Peace.
