We didn’t see him often, but when we did, we always enjoyed it. An intelligent and interesting guy. We thank him for being a good father-in-law to our daughter, Mariah, and a good grandfather to Luke, the grandson we shared. A consummate family man. A life well-lived. God Bless. I had the pleasure of knowing Gordon through his participation in a local service community in Fredericksburg. From day one, I witnessed a welcoming, positive-thinking, and humorous person. He made an immediate impact. He encouraged others, helping people with challenges through supportive and inviting humor and wit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him in our community. Personally, I felt inspired by his approach to life, and I plan to carry his message of hope and support to all those I see going forward.

Dear Deborah and family, Our hearts are full of love thinking of the fond memories of dear Gordon! He was a unique man of compassion and feeling, tenderhearted and wise. His ministry with you, Deb, in the powerful weekends with Rachel’s Vineyard stand out to me as one of the most profound and life changing events I’ve experienced, and I know he impacted all who came in deeper ways than can be explained. We are SO Grateful for his life and the way he poured out his heart. We are praying for you all in this deep loss on earth- that God will undergird you with His Holy Spirit presence and strengthen you with His grace. What an absolute joy to know with certainty that you will be reunited again, and he now is set free and rejoicing in the presence of our Lord. Love you guys so much! Katie & Pat

Dear ones, There are so many things you must be feeling today. I trust that what you feel most is loved, remembered and held close to many hearts because you are! Many years ago, my daddy taught me that if we share the happy memories of our loved ones with others they can never really leave us. I have tested this lesson and found it true. I have many happy memories of Gordon. I am sure you do as well. Share them. Laugh, cry and remember. It will keep him close. Gordon lived by Colossians 3:23-24. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. It is the Lord you are serving.” That is something I am sure he taught you through his actions and I am certain he will see that lesson shine in your life. You are loved! 😉
