It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Gordon Frantzich Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Gordon was a man of many accomplishments, but his greatest success was the manner in which he loved. He deeply cherished and was proud of his family, loving each one as individuals. Nothing made him happier than family gatherings and creating shared memories. He also loved his church family, and was passionate about ministering to those in need. Gordon was a true servant of the Lord, and had the rare ability to surrender and praise God fully, worshiping with his whole heart. He was an inspiration to many. By trade, Gordon was a Mechanical Engineer and graduated from UVA. He took great pride in his work and if he said a thing would be done, it was guaranteed to be completed to the best of his ability. He was a sailor, an avid outdoorsman, musically gifted, a voracious reader, and incredibly athletic. Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Albert Gordon Frantzich, his mother, Blanche Brockwell, and his sister, Jane Dongieux. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Frantzich, his children: Neil Farmer, Laura Patton, Lydia Amerhein, and Caitlin Frantzich, his daughter-in-law Mariah Farmer, sons-in-law, Craig Patton and Edwin Amerhein, and 6 grandchildren: Matthew Farmer, Adah Whitesides, Luke Farmer, Isilee Whitesides, Alexis Dodson and Evelyn Frantzich. Gordon will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in his family and friends for generations to come. He was a true overcomer and a hero in every sense of the word. His legacy of love, faith and service will continue to shine brightly. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at the Glasgow Farm Church located at 448 Hartwood Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22406. Dale and Sharon Glasgow will officiate. Visitation begins at 10:00am and the service begins at 11:00am. There will be a short fellowship gathering after the service with light refreshments generously provided by church members. Family will then retire to his home in King George, VA. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be given to Pat and Katie Mahoney’s Christian Defense Coalition, whose work he firmly agreed with and believed in. The address is: P.O. Box 77168, Washington DC, 20013. Please add a note with Gordon’s name to any Venmo Donations to the ministry [Link Below].
