From letting me stay at your home when my father had a quad bypass to making me slow down on a 4 wheeler as we perused the sights at the beach in Florida. You were one of a kind buddy. You raised two solid boys (now men) I consider life long friends no matter how often we see each other. I don’t know when your wedding anniversary is Mike but I vividly remember it being spray painted on the wall of your garage. Wish you well bud, hopefully there’s a couch up there for ya every Sunday so you can sit and watch the Skins game. Sending love, Joey Davis

Mikie! Where do I start? We had some “real” times together! I can’t begin to list them all. I just know you were a great friend & brother-in-law to me. I will always keep you close & think of you often. Jody is missing you like crazy as we all are. Know that she is “ok” & awaiting the day we can all be together with our Lord & Savior. I love you Mikie. You are not to be forgotten. With much love. Sue

There will never be another like Mike Burke. He married into our family 47 years ago, the husband to my cousin, Jody Edward Burke. We all loved him as a brother. He was a great friend to my husband, Gene. If you needed ANYTHING, Mike was there for you. We have celebrated birthday\’s, cookouts, weddings, and funerals, as a family, coming together with support and love. Now we will all rally around Jody and their children as Mike did for all that have gone before him? As a Christian, I know we will all see one another again. My heart rejoiced when Mike gave his life to the Lord a few years ago? I thank the Lord for giving his life to save a wretch like me. God Bless Jody, Momma June, and their children.

Sending prayers and our love to Jody, and the rest of the family. Mike was one of a kind. God broke the mold with him. I have so many good memories of our family gatherings and Mike being at the center of it all. He loved to pitch horseshoes and host family/friends at any summertime cookout. He was a special man and will be missed but always remembered.

To all of Mikes family I’m so very sorry. What a heart shattering loss for each of you. Praying over all of you as you face the days ahead without him and encounter all your “firsts”. I know he will be deeply missed forever. Hugs all around. Sarah

I have many childhood memories that included Mike and Jody. Mike was always kind and helpful to all of us as kids. Prayers for family and peace as hearts heal from the loss of this good man as I remembered him to put much influence on many of us as we grew up around him. God Bless!
