Patrick Michael Burke Sr. went home to Jesus on Thursday, November 21 at age 81.

Mike was born August 28, 1943 in Alexandria, VA to Milton Linwood Burke & Louise Virginia (Page). He attended grade school & high school in Alexandria before completing his technical training in the Electrical trade. A member of the Local 26 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Mike retired after 40 years of service.

Mike met the love of his life, Jody Lynn Burke (Edward) also of Alexandria, in 1974. They enjoyed 47 wonderful years of marriage. After starting a family, they moved to Stafford, VA where they lived for 20 years before Mike retired and they settled in King George, VA.

Mike is survived by his bride Jody, his four children and their families: Patrick Michael Burke Jr. & wife Erin, Tammy Marie Stalker & husband Karl, Joshua Stewart Burke & wife Jadiece (Jadey) and Jonathan Page Burke & wife Kristi. Mike and his 3 sons paid homage to their father and their heritage by obtaining matching Burke crest tattoos.

Mike loved gathering his family together to celebrate holidays or watching the Redskins game. He shared his love of craftsmanship with his sons and grandchildren throughout their whole lives. Their home is a testament to his incredible ability. Each grandchild was blessed with a bassinette crafted by their grandfather. Mike absolutely adored and loved all his grandchildren: Matthew, Shawn, Garrette & Dillon Burke, Karl “Buddy”, Ryan & Savannah Stalker, Ainsley & Josiah Burke and Sydney & Jackson Burke. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces & nephews and many cousins that meant so much to him.

Mike came to know Jesus Christ as his savior in 2017 at the age of 74. He faithfully attended his church Tabernacle Baptist Church of King George, led by Pastor Sherman Davis. He was also a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4123 in Fredericksburg, VA.

A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Sunday, December 29 at 4pm.
