I’m so shocked and sad and will miss my dear farrier friend so much. Ginnie Kaye took care of my horses for 28 years, the last time was July 27. I was one of the fortunate ones she kept on after retiring because she knew I would be lost without her… as I find myself now. She was so much more than my farrier, she was family. She had the absolute best personality and I looked forward to trim days so we could catch up and share stories. She was my savior so many times; even though we lived an hour apart, she was always ready to get to me as soon as she could if I had a horse in need. I called her Doc Braden because she always knew what to do and she was the #1 contact I gave people to call, for any animal emergencies if we were going out of town, because I trusted her knowledge and opinion above all others. I have so many great memories, too many to tell here, but I will carry her with me and know her spirit will always be at my farm. I owe her so much, I pray she knew how much she meant and how blessed I am to have known her so long. Rest in peace my friend, you were loved and appreciated and will be dearly missed.

Dear ones, God gives each of us a fingerprint that no one else has so that we can leave an imprint that no one else can. Ginnie Kaye’s fingerprints were seen and felt in so many lives (both human and animal) and each imprint left the impression of love. Although grief never ends it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. Although we grieve today, Ginnie Kaye would rather us remember and then move on. Long ago, my daddy taught me that as long as we keep the happy memories of our loved ones close, they can never truly leave us. I have tested that over my 80 years on earth and found it true. I am sure we all have many happy memories of Ginnie Kaye. Share them with each other. Laugh, cry and remember. She will stay close in your hearts and lives.

I only met Ginnie Kaye once but she sure left an impression on me. I regret I never got to spend more time with her because she was a warm, friendly person. I would have loved to ride a horse with her!
