Jim and the family were neighbors on Moir Street, and helped me with snow removal many times. I’ve never forgotten their kindness.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Rotsaert. I was a student of his at McKinstry Jr High, such a kind gentleman, so patient with the kids and always willing to listen. A true gem, blessings to all of you.

Coach Rotsaert was my 9th grade basketball coach at McKinstry Jr. Great coach, greater person. I was struggling shooting in practice and coach sent me to see the nurse. A few days later I was wearing glasses. It didn’t help my shooting but I certainly could see better. Thanks Coach. My sincere sympathies to the family.

Mr. Rotsaert was my biology teacher at McKinstry Jr. High in Waterloo, Iowa. I have often said he was my favorite teacher ever. There was never any doubt that he cared about all his students. He made science very interesting to me. He was a good person, who no doubt will be missed by many. My sympathies to all his family.

Ann & family, I was on staff at Sacred Heart when your mom & dad were there. Jim was one of our deacons. I loved and admired both of them! Pat was so fun to be around and your dad was a gentle presence of compassion & care. I have many stories and memories of time spent with them. I’m sorry for your loss, but am happy that they both spent their last years with you. Blessings to you & your family as you mourn the loss of your dad during this holy season.

I remember Mr. Rotsart when I student taught at McKinstry Jr. High in Waterloo and from serving as an usher at Sacred Heart Church Waterloo, Iowa. I remember him as a kind and gentle leader. I was so sorry to hear that he left education to go work for John Deere. He passed not very far from our Reedville, VA, home. Condolences to the family.
