My sweet friend, Ms Gertie. There are so many Incredible things I can say about this lady, she was the version of what a Real woman is, she was a true friend to her friends and would give the shirt off her back, she loved deeply and truly, she loved her family and especially her sister Bea. Everytime I talked to Gertie she always talked about her house here in Salem, she loved and missed that house so much and she grieved so much for her grandson Keith, she would always break down talking about him but she knew he would always be with her. She loved her cats and dog Skippy, lol she would always talk about them and about taking in stray cats that showed up at her door. Gertie was so easy to love and never met a stranger, she truly was one of a kind, my heart hurts knowing I won’t get to have those phone calls again, so my sweet Gertie you go Rest Easy now and just know I’ll always think of you and I will miss you so very much😭💔. I love you Ms Gertie

My sister was my Best Friend, my confidant, my everything! We loved each other beyond life itself. She has gained her angel wings and entered into and thru the heavenly gates! My life has changed tremendously and I will have to learn how to live without her. Right now that is going to be a hard thing to accomplish and I am going to need so much support. Gertie was my ”Rock” that could not be damaged or broken. She taught me so much: big things, little things. We enjoyed the most simple things that no one would understand why we found it enjoyable! We always told each other how much we loved each other. We had our tiffs but that is what sisters and best friends do and it made us better people! I will always LOVE AND MISS YOU! My heart is broken 💔💔💔💔
