With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gertie Anne Loving, who departed this life on March 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 10, 1942, in Virginia, Gertie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister whose kindness and love touched all who knew her.

Gertie spent her life as a devoted homemaker and later worked as a merchandiser in the hosiery industry. She loved music. dancing. And loved animals. She was known for her generosity, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family. A loving mother to her three children, Frankie Loving (Pat), Ricky Loving, and Gwen Cottrell (Richard), Gertie found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to six grandchildren: Emily Loving, Kristine Loving, Lindsey Loving, Haley Loving, Sarah Bowen, and Jake Cottrell, and two great-granddaughters to Kameron and Mila Loving. She; and her two sisters, Bea Bridgmon and Lynn Shaw. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Keith Loving.

Gertie will be remembered for her kind heart, devotion to her family, and the love she shared with all those around her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Sat. Apr. 12, 2025 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. .
