I grew up with John next street over on Booth St in the 70S. I drove through the old stomping grounds recently and I can remember who lived in all the homes I saw, which I guess is a good thing. John and I used to play guitars together, I had a 12 string and John a 6. He was much better than I. One timeJohn and I went to Fort Hunt Park and went down into the tunnels below the fort which provided amazing acoustics but very dark so much that anyone on the outside couldn’t see in. So once when we were both down there jamming away for a while we both emerged from the dark with an audience and clapping. We were so surprised and grateful for the group. We did this a few times after and added harmonica’s. Thought of adding a trip we took to Shenandoah camp area in his baby blue van, keg of beer and a case of genius. Can’t remember the other person that joined us but the locals showed up to hear us play and drink free beer. Next morning cows were moving all around us as we slept in. I am sad to hear this wonderful man’s life was cut to short. We’ll jam again one day brother.
