Patty, Rick, Debbie, and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother Elsie. I don’t need to tell you how much she meant to me and others in our neighborhood. Elsie never hesitated to let some of our neighbors know that she and her family were one of the first to live in our neighborhood for more than 50 years. She knew some of our parents and could tell you the history of the neighborhood of what it used to look like-she even had pictures to share! but her prize possessions were her children and grandchildren. I am comforted in knowing that Elsie is now in heaven with her tennis shoes on and walking miles and miles with a smile on her face. She will always be in my heart and never forgotten.

We will miss Elsie’s visit to Pittsburgh, her infectious sense of humor and the beauty in her artistic abilities that she so generously shared. Condolences and peace to the family. Tom & Claudia

I remember Elsie from her volunteer work at Huntington East High School when I taught there. She always had a smile and was so pleasant. I hope she was able to enjoy every day until her passing. Condolences to her family.

Elsie volunteered at Huntington East High School and Huntington High School where I was Assistant Principal and later at Cabell Midland High School where I was Associate Principal and later Principal. Elsie and my wife and I became good friends. She was a tireless worker. What I remember most about her was her infectious laugh. My wife and I have thought of her often when we traveled 5th Street hill near her former residence. We are very sorry for your loss. Elsie was one of a kind.

I am so sorry to hear of Elsie’s passing. She was a volunteer at several schools where I was employed. She was dependable, professional and meticulous in all that she did. She became a friend who was funny and great to work with everyday she served. RIP Elsie.

Elsie was a sweet lady that I met at Curves. She was always friendly and had a warm smile. I know that she will be missed by all who knew her but especially her family. God has welcomed her home and may she rest in peace.

I met Elsie at a YMCA AOA meeting. She was always smiling. It was fun to go on “field” trips too. Her zest for life will be missed. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren. Lifting the family in prayers.
