Elsie Copley passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home in King George, VA.  She was 90 years old.  She was the youngest daughter of R. S. and Pearl Gentry and was a lifelong resident of Huntington, West Virginia until 2014 when she moved to Virginia to be close to her daughter Patty Jaynes who always took care of her. She worked as a bookkeeper for Thornburg Insurance Agency until 1953 when she resigned to raise her family. She loved giving to the community and was a 32-year volunteer for the Cabell County, West Virginia High Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bo and a sister Dorothy Kyle.   Survivors include three children, Deborah Copley and companion Lori McNeely, Richard Copley and wife Sharon, and Patricia Copley Jaynes and husband Tim. Three grandsons, Mike Copley, Tom Copley, Nick Jaynes and one granddaughter Christin Jaynes, and sister, Elizabeth Geddis and several nieces and nephews. She was a registered organ donor, but she lived too long for any of her organs to be useful. She had requested cremation.

A celebration of life will take place outdoors from 3-6pm, Saturday, July 3 at Tabernacle Baptist Church Pavilion.  Casual Attire.
