Julia M. Acors, 74 passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home in Ladysmith, Virginia. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, she had worked for the ABC Board, as a teacher’s assistant at the elementary school in Ladysmith and finally as the owner of Ladysmith Commercial Cleaning Service. Julia was a devoted and supportive wife who loved her family, especially her grandchildren and loved her time at the beach in South Carolina. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Wayne Acors; her children, Adrienne Acors and Justin Acors (Ocean); her brother, Robert Myers; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Kian, Kynlee and Briya and numerous nieces and nephews, especially a devoted niece, Elaine Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.  The family will receive friends at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home on Saturday, December 11^th from 7:00 – 9:00pm. A funeral will be in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, December 12^th at 2:00pm, with burial to follow in Wright’s Burying Ground, Ladysmith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made American Cancer Society (breast cancer) or Wright’s Burying Ground Perpetual Care Fund.
