George Dixon “Buddy” Howard, 93, of Caroline died Monday, December 20, 2021. Born in Lumberton, North Carolina, he was a U S Navy veteran and owned and operated a concrete business and was a longtime barber. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Southworth Howard.  Survivors include his two sons, George Dixon “Chip” Howard and Brian Leslie Howard; a sister, Elta Howard Proctor and three nieces, Gloria Jones, Janet Reames and Julie Flaherty. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon UMC, 21075 Frog Level Road, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
