Helen was the adoring wife of Frank for 58 years and loving mother to Kevin and Jennifer. Helen suffered from dementia for the past several years. However, her kind, gentle, and loving ways were always with her. She was selfless and put her family above all. She had a radiant smile and a kind heart that always made others feel comfortable.
Helen was born on August 20, 1941 to the late Joseph and Virginia Rish in Westmoreland City, Pennsylvania.
Helen retired from the Tribune Review Circulation Department in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in November 2004. She was looked at by her co-workers as a mentor and a role model. They looked to her for solid advice for life in general. Her managers always knew she could bring people together when they had differences. She was a people person and loved going to work each day.
Above all, Helen loved to spend time with her family. She had a passion for nature and the outdoors. She was very active and could often be found biking with her husband for 20-30 miles several times per week on the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail. When not biking, she enjoyed walking and hiking. She absolutely loved animals, birds, and the sounds of nature. She enjoyed visiting many of the National Parks. She loved annual family vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
She will be missed greatly by her beloved husband, Frank of 58 years, her son Kevin Biondi, her daughter, Jennifer (John) Mabold, her adoring grandchildren (Cara (Vonte), Sydney, and Connor), her sister Rose Ann (Jim) Matthews, her brother-in-law Rick (Debbie) Biondi, and her 3 nieces.
