Born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, November 6, 1961, Craig graduated from Coatesville High School in 1980. After graduating, Craig joined the United States Navy and served his country from 1981 to 1987. In 1987, Craig married the love of his life Terri L. (Zink) Morrison. In 1989, Craig became contractor for the Navy Combat Systems Engineering site, known as the “Cruiser in the Cornfield” in New Jersey. From there, he transferred to Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) Dahlgren, Virginia in 1990, where he worked his way up from contractor to government employee and then to AN4 Director Training Readiness at ARTC. Craig was dedicated and passionate about the Mission of ATRC’s training, striving for excellence not only in himself but all N4 departments, personnel, sailors and civilians. His career at ATRC spanned 32 years.
Craig loved cooking for his family and friends and enjoyed lively conversations. He always had a story to tell. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music, the great outdoors, camping, bon fires, and watching fireworks with friends and family with a glass of whiskey and a cigar. Craig was a “Mr. Fix-it”, figuring out how to repair something and then actually repairing it. He was honest, straight forward, hardworking and able to analyze any situation/problem and look beyond it to the Big Picture and in doing so was able to articulate things in a way all could understand to solve a problem. Most of all he was a loving and beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Craig is survived by his wife of 34 ½ years, Terri L. Morrison; mother, Stella I. Morrison; children, Christina L. Profeto (Jason), Jennifer L. Nolano (John), Matthew C. Morrison, Wesley J. Morrison; brothers, Eric M. Morrison, Alex J.
