Tiffany was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on June 30th, 1968. At the age of four she moved with her parents to Newport News, VA (FT, Eustis) and later to Hampton, VA. She began Kindergarten. Halfway through Kindergarten her father was transferred to Columbus, OH and she was able to complete elementary school in one location. It was then off to Florissant, MO where she attended Hazelwood East Middle School, and participated as a member of the junior varsity swim team.

Hawaii was her next destination where she attended and graduated from Leila Hua High School in Wahiawa, HI and played junior varsity volleyball and played softball on the Schofield Barracks girls’ softball team. After graduation she attended Hampton Institute (University) and later graduated from Strayer College.

She began her government career right out of college at The Defense Logistics Agency, then the U.S. State Department, and later the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). She took a few years break from the Government and worked for Dunn and Bradstreet before returning to government service with the newly created Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where she served until May 16, 2022.

Tiffany has always been a deeply religious, loving, and caring person and daughter. She always believed in treating people the way she wanted to be treated – with kindness and compassion. She was extremely resilient and had to persevere through major medical challenges over the last 10 years which she did without complaining or compromising.

She was a loyal and trustworthy friend to those who knew her best. From her Hawaii friends, close knit Hampton Alumna & Alumnus, DHS family, King George neighbors and Maryland friends.

She was a daughter who never let her parents forget how much she appreciated them and all they had done for her and how much she loved them. She was a proud sister and aunt and she loved them dearly.

She leaves behind to mourn, her father and mother: BG, (retired) Samuel L. and Mrs. Shirley R. Kindred; brother and sister-in-law: Samuel L. Kindred Jr and Dana L. Kindred; nephews: Joshua and Brandon and, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Memorial donations in Tiffany’s name may be made to the Pulmonary hypertension Association (https://phassociation.org/)

God’s Garden

God looked around His garden
and He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the Earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and
lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
get well on Earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb,
so He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, “peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
but you didn’t go alone,
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
