Russell E. Warren Sr., 89, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2022 alongside his family and his beautiful wife of seventy years.

Russell was born November 16th, 1932 in Alexandria, VA to his beloved parents, Harvey and Bessie Warren. In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin and Robert Warren, sisters, Betty, Barbara, and Delores “Pee-Wee” and grandson, Robert “Little Robby” Warren.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Joe Warren, children, Russell Warren Jr. (Kitty), Randall Warren, Robert Warren (Sandra), Vicki Bilbrey (Roger), and Cindy Graves (Tommy), 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Russell was the epitome of a “good American dad.” There wasn’t anything he could not build or fix. He lead every conversation with a joke and an infectious smile that could light up a room. He loved children and cherished every single one of his grandbabies.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 22nd at Storke Funeral Home located at 11086 James Madison Parkway in King George, VA. Private viewing for the family will begin at 10:00 am followed by a public service at 11:00 am. A graveside burial will take place at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA at 1:30 pm for those who wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell’s honor can be made to Colonial Beach Methodist Church in Colonial Beach, VA, or to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation & Funeral Service Information
