Nancy Lee Lohrfinck, 80, originally from Valatie, New York died Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Bumpass, Virginia at the home of her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Randall and Francis Smith, and her husband, Arnold M. Lohrfinck, Jr. Nancy was a registered nurse and served proudly as such for 50 years.  Her patients were always treated as family, and in this role, she impacted countless lives.  Nancy is fondly remembered in multiple communities including Cheverly, Maryland and more recently at Mallard Lakes in Selbyville, Delaware. Nancy spearheaded the beautification committee decorating the entire community with flowers and flags for the seasons and the holidays. She absolutely loved living at the beach, celebrating holidays, and a good gin and tonic on the water. In her later years, Nancy was a member of the crafters club within Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the local thrift store.  With a twinkle in her eye and a positive outlook on life, Nancy always had a smile for a stranger, embraced a party, and made family gatherings extra fun.  Survivors include her three children, Hugh (Sharon) Thomas, Bob (Tanya) Thomas and Anne (Jonathan) Henley; four brothers, Ronald, David, Paul, and Peter Smith (deceased); seven grandchildren, David Thomas (Lindsey), Jake, Matt, and Ben Thomas; Chad, Collin, and Casey Henley; and four great grandchildren, Dominic, Alexander, Zachary, and Justin Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Friday, June 24, 2022, at Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 8063 Ladysmith Road in Ruther Glen, Virginia, Rev. Charles Tillapaugh officiating. A reception willfollow that will celebrate Nancy’s life and the upcoming July 4th Holiday. It was her favorite holiday. Memorial contributions may be made to the
