He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Fran and sister Robin. He is survived by his loving wife Donna, son James Dean, daughter Kristie, his brother Wayne (Sharon), sister Sherry (Jimmy), sister in law Mary (Stacy), brother in law Daniel (Kathy) and his grandchildren Bryan, Evelynn and James and many nieces and nephews whom he loved with all his heart and soul.
Dean was born on March 29, 1955 in Alexandria, VA to Charles and Fran Harbaugh. He grew up in the town of Colonial Beach. Where he played football for the Drifters and then became a coach for the town’s little league football and then onto high school football. He was a great and loving husband and an even better dad in the world to his son James. He taught his son many things (fishing, hunting and many other trade skills) and helped him to become the fine young man he is today. He truly was the best man that any wife or son could ask for. His wisdom and life lessons were always the greatest guidance. He was taken too soon with so much to teach. He was always a good soul and an even better man. He has done so much with his life and overcame so many of life’s struggles. But he never gave up and that’s what he always taught his son. He taught him that no matter what life throws at you, always get back up, dust yourself off and give it your all. You only get one life to live so enjoy everything it has to offer the good and the bad. You will always be missed and loved, but never forgotten, you will forever live on in our heart till we meet again one day.
