William E. Kaffka was born November 1st of 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Harry Doty and Lillian Kaffka. He served as a Captain in the United States Army National Guard. He had a nickname of “Boo Boo” growing up for his love of bears that started when he was in college. He was also an avid reader; his favorite genre was American History. He graduated with a Masters Degree in History from Rutgers University. He is predeceased by his second wife, Dorothea Orban Kaffka. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Kaftor. He passed away on December 28th, 2022 at the age of 81.

His service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, with a date to be determined.
