Carl Edward Hoffmann, Jr. 86 of Ruther Glen passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his home. Born in Ashville, North Carolina, he served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He retired after 20 years as a Washington DC firefighter. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Hoffmann; his children, Paula Beaujean (Dennis), Michael Hoffmann (Linda), Keith Hoffmann (Angie), William Limmer, Jessica Kenney (Bryan) and Carl E. Hoffmann, III (Lindsay); his sister, Elene Johnson (Russ); thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21^st at 11:00am in Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Ladysmith, with Pastor Charles Tillapaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wright’s Chapel 8063 Ladysmith Road Ruther Glen VA 22546.
