Ronald was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia on the 24th of July, 1990 to Pamela & Hardie Smith. He was educated in the King George, VA school system. His passions were his family and his music. Ronald was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Ronald, affectionately known as “Ron” (Gutta), was very well known in the community. As a child, Ron loved to play football, walk the area, and read. Ron was very intelligent and loved to read Greek mythology. He enjoyed learning things most people his age did not. His vocabulary was out of this world, making his music better and very unique. Ron was very passionate about his music. He went to sleep rapping and woke up rapping. Ron loved to look his best from head to toe. He always said, “I get it from my mother.” Ron was a great person and left an impression on everyone he met. Ron was a great son, brother, fiancé, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, and protector. Ron was in the process of building a beautiful family with the love of his life, April Watkins.
Ronald leaves to celebrate his life his parents, Pamela & Hardie Smith; his fiancé, April Watkins, and her daughter that he thought of as his own, Amber (Mike); three sisters, Chandale (Devonne), Andrea, Wanda; five brothers, Curtis (Veronica), Leonard (Tina), Justin, Lamont, Darnell, Jamell.
He leaves behind to mourn him nieces and nephews, Dwayne, Maria, De’Vanta, Tre’Shon, Corry, De’Andre, Legend, Adrian (Lia), Keilen, Elijah, Natalya, Alahna, Noah, & Jeremiah, and a host of 36 nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his Aunt Robin (George) her children, Dion, Tyrone, Komiko’ , Derrick; his Uncle Kurt (Connie) and his daughters, Marquisa & Rocki; his Uncle Andrew (Erma); and their daughter Shevon; his godparents, Carrie & Charles Rich; godsisters, Suga & Shellie; and that’s just to name a few. But you all know who you are.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, King George (11089 James Madison Parkway, King George, VA 22485). A celebration of life will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church (12262 Salem Church Road, King George, VA 22485) with Rev. Leonard G. Bland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tre’Shon Mitchell, De’Andre Mitchell-Kelly, Devonne Washington, Dwayne Mitchell-White, Derrick Mitchell, Tyrone Durham, Frankie Diggs, Michael Martin.
