Daughter to the late Adelaide Deshazo Marshall and George W. Marshall, Virginia was born in King George on June 2, 1925. For many years she worked for Rick and Vans Produce on Route 3. A member of Potomac Baptist Church, Virginia was also a world-wide traveler and her most favorite country was Israel.
Virginia met and married her first husband, the late Thomas H. Moles. Following his passing in 1974, Virginia married the late C. Colton Purks. In addition to her late spouses and parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her five sisters and four brothers; and her son Thomas Moles.
Survivors include her daughters Robin Moles Bowler (George) and Joy Moles, DeBernard (Chuckie) both of King George; grandchildren Tony Moles, Tammy Jenkins, Andrea Jones, and Brittany Lilly; great grandchildren Julie Baer, Toni Dean, Evan Jones, Mason Lilly, and Hunter Lilly; and great-great grandchildren Rebecca Baer, Thomas Baer, Elizabeth Baer, and Karsyn Dean.
The family will receive friends from 6-7pm on Thursday, May 4 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 7p. Burial will take place at 1pm on Saturday, May 6 at Jacksonville Cemetery in Floyd, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Potomac Baptist Church, 8103 Comorn Rd, King George, VA 22485 or Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave, Suite 401, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
