Helen June Robey, 99, of King George, peacefully passed away on June 13, 2023. Mrs. Robey grew up on the grounds of Mt. Vernon and fostered a lifelong love for the historic house and its surroundings. She held a deep affection for Ireland and always encouraged others to experience its beauty. After a dedicated career, Mrs. Robey retired from the Navy Department, where she served as a secretary in a torpedo factory. In her later years, she found joy in antiquing and refinishing furniture.

Mrs. Robey is preceded in death by her parents, John Davis & Margaret Phillips Davis; husband, John B Gensmer; husband, David E Robey Jr.; her daughter, Marcia Watz; as well as her brothers, John F Davis and Earl R Davis.

Left to cherish her memory, Mrs. Robey is survived by her grandson, Michael Powell (Lori Follis); great-granddaughters, Sarah Powell, Kendall Miller (Marc), and Riley Powell; and sister-in-law, Joan Davis.

Funeral services in honor of Mrs. Robey’s life will be held at 1pm, Monday, June 26 at Storke Funeral Home, King George. The family will receive friends one hour prior. A private graveside service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
