Emmett M. “Sonny” Coleman, III, 80, of Caroline County died June 18, 2023. Born in Caroline County, he was the son of the late Christine and Emmett M. Coleman, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan Cabaniss Coleman; one daughter, Amie, two sons, Emmett (Mark) and Adam; two grandsons, Travis and Michael; three granddaughters, Jasmine, Sage and Jolene; great grandson, Hunter and a sister, Kathy McVay. Emmett enjoyed working as an Investigator for the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations for the State of Virginia and was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Kilwinning Crosse Lodge #2-237 in Bowling Green. Emmett was surrounded by family and friends. A visitation will be held 6-8 pm Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 23, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Upshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kilwinning Crosse Lodge #237, P. O. Box 236 , Bowling Green, VA. 22427
