Tommy was a graduate of Colonial Beach High School, where he left a mark on the school’s sports teams by playing baseball and football throughout all four years. His athleticism and sportsmanship were admired by his peers and coaches alike.
A devout member of Colonial Beach Baptist Church, Tommy was actively involved in the church’s youth groups and found joy in teaching a children’s Sunday School class. He had a heart for nurturing young minds and guiding them in their faith.
Art held a special place in Tommy’s heart, particularly painting and drawing. His creative talents were boundless, and he found inspiration in the world around him, capturing scenes that caught his eye with remarkable skill and passion. Recently, he fulfilled his dream by establishing his own art business in Colonial Beach, Be Yourself Art, where he shared his talents with the community.
For the past 10 years, Tommy worked as a furniture technician, reveling in the artistry and precision of his craft. His exceptional ability to match colors allowed him to create beautiful pieces.
Tommy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Uhel & Fern Adkins; paternal grandparents, Randolph & Beulah Feltner; uncles, Tommy Adkins, Joe Adkins, and Lester Scott; and aunt, Joan Avery.
Tommy is survived by his children, Wyatt Feltner, Kadin Feltner, Emma Feltner, and Teach Feltner; parents, Marcy & Lee Feltner; brother, Randy Feltner (Katie); and aunt, Ann Adkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 26 at Colonial Beach Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Historyland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Colonial Beach Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, PO Box 27, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
Tommy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, creativity, and dedication will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those he touched.
