Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintPamela Green Littleton, 57, of Colonial Beach, VA and Daytona Beach, FL passed away on June 27, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pam, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was a 1984 graduate of Washington & Lee High School in Westmoreland County Va. Throughout her life, she tirelessly pursued the furthering of her education while also working full-time, raising a family and volunteering her time within her community. In 1995, she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Science from Rappahannock Community College, a 2001 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Park University and a 2012 Master’s Degree of System’s Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. She spent her 36-year professional career both as a DoD contractor and civil servant and had just recently retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Va in February 2022.
Pam was an avid lover of her country and a proud supporter of her community. As a child she was a continual member of and rose to become the senior soloist of the Westmoreland County Legionnaires Majorettes and Drum Corp. As an adult, she became a certified EMT, coached youth recreational cheerleading, was a past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 148, past Secretary of the American Legion District 12, founding charter member and past Adjutant of the American Legion Riders Chapter 148 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4315 member, and was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1590 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Pam loved nature and the outdoors including photography, hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, boating, motorcycle riding, walking, traveling, Nascar races and was an especially avid Rusty Wallace fan. She also loved to sing karaoke, dance, sew, quilt, craft, paint, cook and help coordinate parties, weddings and even fantasy football drafts! She had an unshakable love for her family and was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and coworker. She was truly an inspiration to all and was loved by everyone who met her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Pam is survived by her husband, Rex Littleton; children, Jason Shapiro (Linsey), Jake Littleton, Kelley Alton; four grandchildren, Luke, Aiden and Sydney Shapiro and Cooper Alton; Mother, Jenny Green, Brother, Troy Green. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Green.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 8096 Leedstown Road, Colonial Beach, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Charlene’s Dream Cancer Treatment Center, 501 N Wild Olive Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
