Peggy Lawler Tucker, 90, of Colonial Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.  Peggy worked many jobs starting with positions at the Pentagon in the 1950s followed by numerous accounting and secretarial duties.  She also supported her husband Don’s printing business Tucker Printing.  She was an avid gardener, the family historian (also creating a family/friend’s cookbook), enjoyed following the news, and participated as an active member of the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge for many years.  She loved living in Colonial Beach after many years as a native Alexandrian.  Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wayne Tucker, her parents Frank and May Lawler, and her six siblings Frances Lawler Brittain Nickolson, Lillian Lawler Pennington, Nicholas Lawler, Jack Lawler, George Lawler and Robert Lawler.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Connie & Bruce Kennedy, her son and daughter-in-law David and Cindy Tucker, all of Colonial Beach, grandson Michael Abner and wife Liz Kroboth, granddaughter Christina J. Szuniewicz and husband Michael,  and two great-grandchildren Matthew and Makayla Szuniewicz.  Services will be private.
