Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintBarbara Mountjoy Turner, 80, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Myrtle Mountjoy. Barbara was raised by her beloved aunt, the late Ruth B. Wilkerson.
In addition to her parents and aunt, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-one years George E. Turner, her grandson Marshall Denney, IV and three siblings, Bob Mountjoy, Catherine Burrell and Juanita Jones. Barbara was a loving and devoted mother to her three children Kimberly J. Matos (Jay) of Fort Meade, MD, James Dean Fendley (Patricia) of Fredericksburg and Leo L. Conner (Missie) of Palmyra, VA; one sister Carol Rouse (Walter) of Fredericksburg; eight grandchildren Trevor, Cole, Tori, Chris, Caty, Melodi, Caleb and Steven, several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Barbara was strong in her faith and shared her love of God through her words and sincere acts of kindness, compassion, and giving heart. She was active member in her Bible study classes and choir at Ferry Farm Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her involvement with the church, her favorite activities included playing cards with her sisters and brother, quilting, reading, and travel with her family and church group.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 am, Friday, November 3 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel followed by a memorial service at 12 Noon. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 am, Friday, November 3 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel followed by a memorial service at 12 Noon. Burial will be private.
